Microlesson Series

Interview Preparation Series

Interview Preparation Series is a collection of 5–15-minute modules that guide students to become confident interviewers. With the use of videos and competency building activities, students are given the fundamentals of interviewing including common interview questions, why the interviewer is asking them, and how students should formulate their responses.

Preparing for an Interview

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will understand why it is important to thoroughly prepare for interviews.

Dressing Professionally for the Interview

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have reviewed some guidelines for appropriate dress during an interview and practiced applying them to a job of their choice.

Attending an In-Person Interview

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have learned tips for attending in-person interviews and considered how to apply them to their own future interviews. 

Professionalism for In-Person Interviews

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have learned the importance of, and ways to demonstrate, professionalism during interviews.

Attending a Virtual Interview

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have learned tips to prepare for a virtual interview and considered how they would conduct a virtual interview in their own space. 

Professionalism for Virtual Interviews

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have reflected on the differences between professionalism during virtual and in-person interviews.

After the Interview

Upon completion of this Microlesson, students will have learned how taking the appropriate measures after an interview can benefit them during the next interview and overall job-hunting process.
